| Description |
Short Song Description:
End of a relationship.....I think....I don't know...best if it is.....
|
Story Behind the Song:
Probably the quickest song I ever wrote. May of 1995, moving to VA I bought an acoustic guitar (had been doing nothing but electric blues for years). Got home, sat down and wrote this...pretty much the same structure/lyrics as then. Rarely performed by Dead Irish Blues over the years, but may find a place in the set lists now.

| Lyrics |
I don't know what I'll do when I see you face to face
Maybe I'll talk to God and just ask him for his grace
Or maybe I'll be myself and just act like a disgrace
Or maybe I'll go out and get me another case
Or maybe I'll let it go and forget about you
I don't know what I'll do when I look you in the eyes
'Cuz lately every hour of every days been a surprise
And with every passing night another brain cell of mine dies
From memories so painful they just long for their demise
So maybe I'll let it go and forget about you
I don't know what I'll do when I kiss you on the cheek
Maybe I'll look down your blouse and try and sneek a peek
Or maybe I twin Lester will rear his ugly head
And do his damn best to try and get you into bed
Or maybe I'll let it go and forget about you
I don't know what I'll do if you brush aside your hair
And I look into your eyes and see that something still is there
'Cuz if there is I know that my last brain cell will explode
And I'll stumble out your door and I'll strangle in your road
So maybe I'll let it go and forget about you
Maybe I'll let it go and forget about you
Maybe I'll let it go and forget about you |
